When school feels like too much

Some children carry a lot inside. They may worry about getting things wrong, feel crushed by pressure at school, struggle with friendships, or have a hard time adjusting to changes at home or in the classroom.

In therapy, I help children make sense of big feelings in a supportive, age-appropriate way. Together, we build coping tools for stress, emotional regulation, and self-trust so they can move through school and daily life with more steadiness and confidence.

What we can work on

Therapy can offer children a calm space to express what they are feeling and practice new ways of coping.

School stress

Support for overwhelm related to homework, classroom pressure, test anxiety, or feeling like they always have to keep up.

Friendships and belonging

A place to process social worries, conflict, loneliness, or the pain of feeling left out or misunderstood.

Transitions and change

Gentle support around family changes, new schools, shifting routines, or other life transitions that can stir up big emotions.

Perfectionism and mistakes

Helping children soften harsh self-pressure, tolerate mistakes, and build confidence that is not based only on performance.
